Keeping Your Vegetables As Fresh As Possible
Are you planning on storing your vegetables for an extended period of time in your refrigerator? When this is the case, it’s good to have a little bit of knowledge for keeping those vegetables fresh. A common mistake is that people rinse their vegetables off before they store them in the refrigerator. This is very problematic because what it does is traps all the moisture in the refrigerator and ends up killing your vegetables. The goal is to keep vegetables fresh and to do this you need to avoid placing your vegetables in the back of the refrigerator, since that is where it gets the coldest. You can wrap them in a paper towel then put them in a plastic bag before storing them in the refrigerator to better retain their freshness over a period of time. When you see water pouring down on the vegetables in a grocery store, that’s actually okay because it’s doing it work and circulate it in the air. Being trapped in refrigerator is another story.
